Financial Support

A variety of financial support is available to UCM graduate students, including graduate assistantships, scholarships for graduate students, research grants, and federal financial assistance. Click on the links to find the ones you qualify for!

Graduate assistanships provide a competitive stipend and a scholarship covering academic fees are available to qualified students under the terms of a nine-month contract.

Starting in fall 2014, UCM will offer the Choose Red Grant, which will allow incoming regularly admitted students whose permanent residence is one of the eight states bordering Missouri to pay in-state tuition and fees for all classes on the main campus in Warrensburg. Missouri’s eight eligible border states are:

  • Arkansas
  • Illinois
  • Iowa
  • Kansas
  • Kentucky
  • Nebraska
  • Oklahoma
  • Tennessee

Graduate students who apply for admission are automatically considered for the Choose Red Grant.

Numerous graduate scholarships are available from the university and individual departments.

UCM participates in a full range of federal financial aid programs, including grants, loans, and student employment. Review the special information created by our Office of Student Financial Services just for graduate students.

The Office of Sponsored Programs offers assistance to students seeking research funding and administers the University's Internal Grants and Research Awards Program. Once you are here you will want to contact them to take advantage of their resources.
