Master of Business Administration Degree Program

Part-time or full-time, the Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree program at UCM is designed with your needs in mind.  All MBA courses are at night (6:00-8:45 p.m.) on campus in a classroom setting.  The program may be completed in as little as one calendar year for full-time students.

We offer five concentrations within the MBA–accounting, finance, information systems (IS), management, marketing and a general concentration.  Candidates may start the program in August (Fall Semester) or January (Spring Semester).  For some candidates, a May (Summer Semester) start date is ideal.  The MBA program is accredited by The Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB) International, your assurance of the highest quality business education.

Admission Requirements

To be admitted to the MBA program, candidates must have a qualifying score on the Graduate Management Admissions Test (GMAT), a minimum cumulative undergraduate grade point average (GPA), and a minimum “admission” score calculated as a combination of the undergraduate GPA and GMAT score.

Minimum undergraduate GPA Required
2.50
(on a 4.0 scale)
Minimum GMAT Score Required
400
(500 for the IS concentration)
Minimum Admission Score
1,000

The admission score is calculated as 200*GPA + GMAT score.  Thus, for candidates with a cumulative undergraduate GPA of at least 3.0, the required minimum GMAT score is 400.  For candidates with a cumulative undergraduate GPA of 2.50, the required minimum GMAT score is 500 (200*2.50+500=1,000).

The GMAT is a standardized test offered by the Graduate Management Admissions Council.  Test description, expense, testing locations and registration dates are available from the GMAT website.

Note: Applicants who have earned an undergraduate business degree from an AACSB-accredited business program with a cumulative undergraduate grade point average of at least 3.75 are not required to provide a GMAT score.  Admission is based solely on the undergraduate GPA.

International applicants must meet additional requirements for admission to the university, and must apply for admission through the International Center.
