Prescription Drug Care
The Prescription Drug program is managed by Blue Cross Blue Shield for retail and by Express Scripts for mail order. To receive prescription drug benefits under the plan a covered person must present their Blue Cross Blue Shield Insurance Card to the dispensing pharmacist at the time the prescription is filled.
Covered persons can purchase prescription drugs from a network pharmacy in amounts up to a 34 day supply. A covered person can also order long-term maintenance prescription drugs by mail order in amounts up to a 102 day supply.
