Health Insurance
Two health insurance plans are available to regular full-time and part-time employees and their dependents.
Coverage is effective on the first day of the month after starting employment. Eligible dependents may be enrolled within 31 days of hire.
UCM and full-time employees share in the employee and dependent health insurance cost based on the employee's salary. Part-time employees are responsible for the full cost of health insurance coverage.
Employees can "opt out" of the health insurance plan with verification of other coverage. Benefit dollars will not be transferable or redeemable for cash.
