Long Term Disability Insurance
UCM provides long term disability insurance benefits to full-time employees at no cost to the employee.
Coverage is 60% of an employee's monthly salary as of September 1st of each year with a maximum benefit of $10,000 per month, less any payments received from MOSERS, social security, or workers' compensation. Coverage is effective the first day of the month following the hire date.
Employees who apply for long-term disability may be considered for short-term disability if they are out of all available sick leave and vacation time.
