Join UCM and tens of thousands of walkers nationwide for National Walk @ Lunch Day on
Wednesday, April 24, 2013
National Walk @ Lunch Day is the first step toward making a big difference in the health of our nation. When done briskly on a regular basis, walking can help:
- Decrease the risk of heart attack and type -2 diabetes
- Control weight
- Improve muscle tone
- Reduce stress
- Increase energy throughout the day
- Sleep better at night
You can take your first steps toward a healthier life on Wednesday, April 24th. We will meet at 12 noon in front of the Administration Building. Once you have registered you can take off on your 30 minute walk. Walkers will receive pedometers and/or drinking cups as well as register to receive 5 My Reward points. (To register for the My Rewards points, please bring your BCBS Insurance card.) In case of inclement weather, we will meet and walk in the Student Recreation Center.
