Insurance
Details of insurance plans are available on the Human Resources website benefits section. Eligibility varies and is based on employment categories. Coverage is available the 1st of the month after employment.

Regular, Full-time Employees
Central Missouri provides benefit opportunities for regular full-time employees. Some are paid by the university and others must be purchased by the employee.

Regular, Part-time Employees
UCM does not provide benefits for regular part-time employees. However, part-time employees may be eligible to purchase certain insurance benefits at their own expense.

Benefits for Dependents of Deceased Employees
The spouse and children of a deceased faculty/staff member who dies while serving as a regular full-time employee of University of Central Missouri are entitled to transfer to the Surviving Spouse Plan of the medical insurance plan, at their own expense, if they are covered at the time the employee passes away. The spouse may remain on this plan until another group plan is secured or until remarriage. Dependent children under the age of 23 maintain eligibility as long as the surviving spouse parent remains eligible.
