Scholarships for International Students

The earliest possible application for scholarship is recommended so that awards may be reflected on the I-20. Scholarship applications (if required) must be received one month prior to the start of the semester you intend to enroll, or UCM Foundation Scholarships are typically due March 1 for the following academic year. |

Entering freshmen who secure “Regular” undergraduate admission into University of Central Missouri and earn a minimum SAT critical reading + math + writing score of 1630 or ACT composite score of 25. |

First-year undergraduate students who secure “Regular” admission into University of Central Missouri. Successful applicants need to have earned above average marks as a college/university or secondary/high school student. Applicants should also present a career goal statement as well as a brief statement stating why you believe we should consider you for this award. |

Graduate International Award �� |
Entering graduate students who secure “Regular” admission into University of Central Missouri. Successful applicants need to have earned an overall minimum undergraduate grade point average of 3.25 (4 point scale). Applicants should present a career goal statement, GRE, GMAT, and/or TOEFL results if available as well as a brief statement stating why you believe we should consider you for this award. |

Diplomatic Scholarship |
University of Central Missouri will award a Diplomatic Scholarship equal to the non-resident portion of tuition to full-time, degree seeking undergraduate students who are in the United States on an A-1 and A-2 visa. Please request Diplomatic Scholarship consideration in writing and attach A-1 or A-2 visa verification. |

| Second Generation Grant | Must be the grandchild, child or legal stepchild of a UCM alumnus. This is available only to entering freshmen eligible for regular admission. It is renewable upon condition of full-time enrollment. Student must have and maintain a minimum grade-point-average of 3.25 on a 4.0 scale. An eligible applicant must include a written request for Second Generation Grant consideration with admission materials. Be sure to include the name of the UCM alumn parent or grandparent, the degree earned and the approximate year of the alumn's graduation. | Renewable up to 8 semesters | 100 percent of the non-resident portion of tuition. |
Graduate Assistantship � |
A graduate assistantship may be awarded to entering or current UCM students. The majority, however, are awarded to current graduate students. Graduate assistantship selections are determined by each individual department. A minimum overall undergraduate grade point average of 2.70 (4 point scale) and 3.00 graduate GPA (if applicable) is required. Applicants must be accepted into a specific academic program. Graduate Non-Resident Scholarship |
University of Central Missouri graduates holding a UCM bachelor's degree. Scholarship applications are available in our Graduate School Office. Applicants need to have secured graduate admission into a specific academic program and present a UCM transcript showing a cumulative undergraduate GPA of 3.0 or higher and have completed a minimum of 60 undergraduate semester hours at UCM. The Graduate Non-Resident Scholarship may be received for a maximum of six semesters as long as a minimum UCM graduate GPA of 3.4 is maintained.
