Emergency Management Certificate

This concise, coherent field of study provides a background to those wishing to enter the public safety and public administration profession. Students pursuing majors in criminal justice, political science, and occupational safety will find this certificate complements their field of study. These courses also add new skills for mid-career emergency responders and managers in public safety, public management, risk management, and health and safety.

The Certificate in Emergency Management also prepares quali-fied students to pursue the Certified Emergency Manager professional credential, offered by the International Association of Emergency Managers, or the state-level emergency manager certifications offered by many states in the region.
