First 40 Days - Student Life - University of Central Missouri

First 40 Days

Throughout the First 40 days (six weeks) of school, attend at least seven events, one from each track, and two additional events. Each track, denoted by a color, represents a category.

At First 40 events, students:

  • Meet new friends.
  • Learn about campus and the Warrensburg community.
  • Create a new hobby or interest.

Bring your smart phone to each event to log in and receive credit.

To track events and claim prizes, you need to download the QBot application

If you do not have a smart phone, a punch card can be picked up in the Office of Student Activities in Elliott Student Union 217.

"Love" the First 40 Days on QBot to receive a free red tumbler that is good for refills in the Union Food Court and Chick-fil-A

Leadership Development Track - Orange
2 scans - Free Bottle Beverage or Fountain Soda at Union Central Courte 
4 scans  - ADP water bottle or Sustainability mini bin from Office of Student Experience and Engagement (Claim your prize in Admin. 214)

Social Track - Purple
2 scans - Free Bottle Beverage or Fountain Soda at Union Central Courte 
4 scans - Free Movie Rental from the Elliott Student Union (Claim your prize at the Union information desk)

Academic and Culture Track - Royal Blue
2 scans - Free Bottle Beverage or Fountain Soda at Union Central Courte  
4 scans - Free Blue book or scantron from the University Store (Claim your prize at the University Store)

Person Development Track - Kelly Green
2 scans - Free Bottle Beverage or Fountain Soda at Union Central Courte
4 scans - Fitness Class pass from the Student Recreation and Wellness Center (Claim your prize at the Rec Center)

Pride and Traditions Track - UCM Red 
2 scans - Free Bottle Beverage or Fountain Soda at Union Central Courte
4 scans - Pride Pack from the Office of Mentoring, Advocacy and Peer Support (Claim you prize in Dockery 212)

More prizes will be given away at the First 40 Day Celebration at 4:30 p.m. on October 1 in Union 240. The more events you attend, the more chances you have to prizes.

  • 8/24/3014 - 8-9:30 a.m. Counseling Center Open House
  • Ask.Listen.Refer - Throughout the First 40 days, complete the pre- and post-test and present your certificate to the Student Activities in Union 217
  • Intramural Sports: Fishing Tournament - Register by 11 p.m. on Sept. 16 at the Student Recreation and Wellness Center

Academic Track

  • Communication Studies Meet and Greet (Open to current and prospective majors) - Thursday, Sept. 4 from 3:30-5 p.m. Charno Room
  • Financial Aid Symposium - Wednesday, Sept. 10 at 3:30 p.m. in Wood 100
  • What Can You do with an English Degree? Advice from UCM Alumni and Career Services staff - Thursday, Sept. 11 from 4:30-6:30 p.m. in Union 28
