Bachelor of Science in Hotel and Restaurant Administration

Hospitality is an art. This program prepares you for a career in the world's lodging, food service and hospitality industries. You will gain knowledge in and outside of the classroom through a curriculum that integrates technology, leadership and practical experiences. As a Hotel and Restaurant Administration major, you will have the opportunity to:

  • Gain professional hotel and restaurant management knowledge and skills.
  • Lead in a diverse environment.
  • Complete two internships.
  • Analyze and make decisions based on financial information.
  • Focus on customer service.

UCM students have done internships in many states and some foreign countries. Students gain experience in such diverse areas as convention centers, sports arenas, travel companies, international hotel management companies, food and beverage management, wineries, events and meeting planning, car rental management, country clubs and casino management.

The University of Central Missouri's MBA in Ethical Strategic Leadership brings a new and valuable master's program to the Kansas City area. Designed for working professionals, this 33-credit hour MBA offers unique coursework taught two nights per week at the UCM Summit Center in Lee's Summit.
