NAFSA: ASSOCIATION OF INTERNATIONAL EDUCATORS
2008 REGION IV CONFERENCE SESSION PROPOSAL
October 25-28, 2008
Ramada Plaza & Suites, Fargo, ND

**Early Bird Incentive: $100 per session maximum. (This may be split between two individuals in the form of two $50 checks.) Each individual may receive only one reimbursement, even if multiple sessions are proposed. Reimbursements will be distributed by Region IV treasurer, Heather Hoel, on the last day of the conference in the exhibit hall. Early Bird Incentives cannot be combined with a Travel Grant.

Please note: Sessions should be submitted as they should appear in print. Please double-check spelling and grammar before submitting your final session proposal. Any edits or additions to proposals will disqualify eligibility for the Early Bird Incentive. In the case that an addition or change should be made to a session proposal, please contact Naomi Baldwin, nbaldwin@ucmo.edu with the information.

International Student and Scholar Services This knowledge community provides professional development opportunities for international student and scholar advisers and for those who work or volunteer in campus-and community-based international programming.
Recruitment, Admissions, and Preparation Recruitment, Admissions, and Preparation (RAP) addresses the needs of professionals working in admissions, recruitment, enrollment management, marketing, credential evaluation, intensive English programs, sponsored program agencies, and overseas advising.
Teaching, Learning, and Scholarship One of NAFSA's newest knowledge communities, Teaching, Learning, and Scholarship (TLS) fosters connections among scholarship, policy, and practice in international education.
Education Abroad The Knowledge Community for Education Abroad serves professionals who advise U.S. students engaging in study, internship, work, and volunteer opportunities abroad; directors and administrators of such programs; representatives of overseas institutions that accept U.S. students; and faculty and administrators involved in international educational exchange.
International Education Leadership Focused on campus internationalization and leadership, this knowledge community addresses the needs and interests of professionals who are either chief international education officers or mid-career professionals aspiring to be international education leaders.

Audiovisual Needs & Comments:

Rooms will have a standard theatre-style setup. No presenters will be charged for equipment, but please be considerate when ordering equipment as Region IV will be paying for each piece. Each room will be equipped with a podium, microphone, flipchart, laptop, LCD projector, and screen. If you will be using the computer and LCD projector, please bring your presentation on a jump drive or disk.
