Campus Space Usage Policies and Procedures
If you are planning an event in the Elliott Union, please finalize arrangements at least one week prior to the event. If you are planning an event in any other campus facility, please finalize arrangements at least two weeks prior to the event. In some cases, meeting space, equipment and resources are reserved on a first-come, first-served basis, so please, contact us as early as possible.
The organization reserving campus facilities will be held financially responsible for any special setup, cleanup, services, equipment, maintenance or repairs resulting from its event. UCM does not provide storage space for your equipment or decorations prior to an event.
The Elliott Union is designated as student and event space and is funded by student fees. Classes, including extended campus and grant-funded coursework, may not be scheduled in the Elliott Union.
An event coordinator from MACS must confirm your event. Do not assume you have space if no one has contacted you. Please, use only the space your group has reserved. Exceptions to this rule include the Elliott Union Atrium and Central Courte seating, as long as they are not reserved by another group.
For causes beyond its control, UCM may, in its sole discretion and with or without notice, postpone or cancel an event. Such causes may include the laws, regulations, acts, orders, or directions of any government agency, weather, construction, etc. In the event of postponement or cancellation, UCM shall have no liability for loss or damage of any kind incurred or claimed by client and/or any additional parties.
