  This course is sponsored by the Missouri Safety Center. And will be held at the Marshall Building, Highway Safety Instructional Park, 1200 South Holden, Warrensburg, MO 64093.

Program details for Type III Operator/SFST 8-Hr, are as follows:

Date and time: January 21-25, 2013 (8:00 a.m. on Monday and ending when you have received the last 4 hours on each instrument trained on - usually Thursday or Friday). You can check our web site: www.safetycenter.ucmo.edu for inclement weather cancellations.

Missouri Safety Center Dress Code:
The Center is a formal training environment for civilians and professionals alike. All students are asked to follow our dress code which consists of attire that is typically found in a professional office environment; T-shirts, tank tops, shorts or sandals are not appropriate in class.

NOTE: You, as a certified law enforcement officer of the state of Missouri, should familiarize yourself with P.O.S.T's rules and regulations regarding required continuing education hours. As of January 1, 1996, you will need to begin tracking all training you take from P.O.S.T. approved providers. The Missouri Safety Center is a P.O.S.T. certified training provider.

Also, the Type III Operator/SFST 8-Hr school is a 32-hour course plus 4 hours for every instrument trained on. For example, if you need to be trained on the Datamaster and the Intoxilyzer 5000, you will receive 40 hours of training for the week (32 hrs+4 hrs+4 hrs).

Core: The Type III Operator/SFST school is a 32 hour course for a total of 32 C.E.H.'s (5 Legal Studies, 9 Skill and 18 Technical).

Curriculum: For each instrument it is a 4 hour course for a total of 4 C.E.H.'s (2 Technical Studies and 2 Skill Development).

The tuition is funded by Missouri Division of Highway Safety. Arrangements for meals and lodging will be your responsibility. Because our classes have limited seating, and are filled on a first come first serve basis, we ask for a 48 hour notice of cancellation.
