The Marching Mules Color Guard meets all of the same requirements as other members of the Marching Mules. Following are answers to some of the most asked
questions regarding the Color Guard.

Color Guard and Drum Line will report for preseason camp on Wednesday, August 12, 2009.  Please see detailed itinerary for Color Guard for Aug. 12, 13 below.

A detailed itinerary for the remainder of preseason camp will be posted on the main Athletic Bands - Summer Responsibilities page (begins August 14, 2009).

1. 2009 Staff: Color Guard Captain/Coordinator (Ms. Andrea Robinson)

2. Scholarships: Each member receives a $600 Service Award.   ($300 applied to student account at the beginning of the season; $300 applied following successful completion of the entire marching band season).

4. Rehearsals: The Color Guard meets with the full marching band for all scheduled rehearsals (Mon: 3:00 - 5:00 pm ; Wed/Thr: 4:00 - 5:00 pm ; Saturdays at the stadium when there are games ; and one additional sectional, as scheduled by the coordinator - see below).

5. Sectionals: Color Guard members must meet for a mandatory 1-2 hour sectional each week, outside of the scheduled marching band rehearsal times. The meeting time will be determined during the Preseason Camp. Color Guard members are not required to participate past the regular football season, except in the event of an NCAA Tournament game.

6. Uniforms and Equipment: The University of Central Missouri provides all guard equipment and uniforms, except for the standard uniform accessories that must be purchased by all marching band members.
