Community Music Program

Fall 2012 & Spring 2013

NEW for fall 2012 -

This semester we will have two string classes:

Beginners (no experience required)
Advanced Beginners (at least 1 year of string experience required).

Both classes will be taught by Mrs. Mary Lubaroff on Mondays. The Advanced Beginner class will meet at 4:30-5:15 in Utt 100. The Beginner class will meet from 5:15-6:00pm also in Utt 100. String students are required to rent their own instruments; Mrs. Lubaroff can advise parents on this process. Students with more experience than a year should contact Dr. Hynes for placement in private lessons.

Mary Lubaroff has taught elementary strings and orchestra in Iowa, Michigan, Kansas, and Missouri for more than twenty years. She currently teaches in the Lee’s Summit R-7 Schools. Mrs. Lubaroff received her Bachelor of Music degree from The University of Iowa, and a Masters of Music degree from Kansas State University. She is an active member of the Missouri String Teachers Association and American String Teachers Association.
