Meet Dr. Robbins
Professional bio for programs and publications
A scholar of music, dance, and media, Allison Robbins received her Ph.D. in Critical and Comparative Studies in Music from the University of Virginia in 2010, where she was in residence as a Jefferson Scholars Fellow. Her research interests include Broadway and Hollywood musicals, film music, and music and the American West. She has presented her research at several national conferences and has published articles in the Journal of the Society for American Music and Studies in Musical Theatre. Before coming to UCM, she taught at the University of Tennessee and the University of Virginia.
