WARRENSBURG, MO (Sept. 23, 2011) – The University of Central Missouri’s Business Innovation Institute has joined forces with the Warrensburg business community, signing an alliance agreement with the Greater Warrensburg Area Chamber of Commerce and Visitors Center to provide membership services.
“As the University of Central Missouri and the City of Warrensburg continue to grow, this alliance between the chamber and the Business Innovation Institute will provide a pathway for entrepreneurs in the community to find useful resources in the university,” said Mark Manley, director of the Business Innovation Institute.
The institute is known for providing an array of professional services for businesses. Under the terms of the agreement, the institute will provide marketing programs to targeted business segments, creating and promoting customized services.
In addition to marketing and promotional services, the institute and its professional staff will provide training and seminars, patent and trademark services, assistance with product development, market research and strategic planning. Institute partners, such as financial institutions, economic development agencies and government agencies, will provide additional services as needed.
“The Chamber of Commerce is pleased to renew our agreement with the Business Innovation Institute to assist in the retention and expansion of our Warrensburg and Johnson County business community,” said Mark Dawson of KCP&L, chairman of the board of directors of the Greater Warrensburg Area Chamber of Commerce and Visitors Center.
