Federal Indictment Handed Down in Alleged 2009 Data Theft

WARRENSBURG, MO (Nov. 23, 2010) – Beth Phillips, United States Attorney for the Western District, this week praised the University of Central Missouri’s efforts in helping with an investigation that led to an indictment of two former UCM students involved in an alleged 2009 computer hacking conspiracy.
Both individuals were charged in a seven-count indictment returned by a federal grand jury in Kansas City on Nov. 22, 2010.
