PBS Children's Favorite Curious George Plans Homecoming Visit

WARRENSBURG, MO (Oct. 23, 2008) – Curious George, the star of the PBS children’s show, and his friend, The Man in the Big Yellow Hat, will visit Warrensburg Saturday, Oct. 25, as part of UCM's annual Homecoming celebration. The pair will appear courtesy of KMOS-TV, UCM’s public broadcasting station.

Appearing in the Homecoming Parade
The Man in the Big Yellow Hat will appear in the UCM Homecoming Parade Saturday morning, which begins at 9 a.m. and travels north on Holden Street from campus, west on Gay Street and south on College Street back to campus.
Visit with Curious George
Curious George will be available to meet children and their parents following the parade at 10:30 a.m. in the Smiser Alumni Center, Clark and Holden streets. Families are urged to bring their cameras.
Enjoy Curious George on KMOS-TV
Curious George airs on KMOS-TV at 7 a.m. and 2 p.m. weekdays, 6 a.m. on Saturday and 7 a.m. on Sunday. Based on the best-selling Curious George books by Margret and H.A. Rey, Curious George made his television debut on PBS Kids Monday on Sept. 4, 2006.
