UCM Celebrates National Distance Learning Week 2010

WARRENSBURG, MO (Nov. 9, 2010) – The University of Central Missouri joined members of the United States Distance Learning Association and the Missouri Distance Learning Association in a week-long celebration of National Distance Learning Week Nov. 8-12.

UCM President Charles Ambrose joined campus leaders from UCM's School of Graduate and Extended Studies, Department of Information Technology and Instruction and Broadcasting Services in kicking off the week of activities and events by signing a presidential proclamation Monday afternoon, Nov. 8.

Ambrose cited the growth of UCM's distance and online learning as evidence of the importance of the programs to the future of higher education.
