UCM Hosts Fall Career Expo Oct. 12

WARRENSBURG, MO (Oct. 6, 2011) – The University of Central Missouri Office of Career Services will host the annual Fall Career Expo from 1 to 4 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 12, in the Multipurpose Building arena.
The Department of Criminal Justice and UCM’s Gamma Epsilon Delta chapter of Lambda Alpha Epsilon are combining their Criminal Justice Career Day with the Fall Career Expo, providing students and potential employers in the criminal justice field with an opportunity for initial interaction.
Employers and graduate and professional schools will represent a variety of career fields at the event. Students may meet professionals in their fields of study, distribute resumes, and explore career opportunities.
All students are encouraged to attend. Underclassmen may receive an outlook on the job market, and juniors, seniors or anyone interested in pursuing internships or full-time employment opportunities should bring multiple copies of their resumes. Professional attire is encouraged.
Prior to the Career Expo, the Office of Career Services will offer all-day resume assistance from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday, Oct. 10, in Elliott Union 302. Following the expo, more than 20 employers will conduct on-campus interviews from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 13, in Elliott Union 302.
To participate in the on-campus interviews, students must complete a registration workshop with the Office of Career Services prior to Oct. 11. Registration workshops are planned for 11 a.m. Friday, Oct. 8 and Tuesday, Oct. 12. No appointment is necessary.
