Contact: Mike Greife
WARRENSBURG - 9/14/2006 -
UCM welcomes the families of UCM students to campus this weekend for the annual Family Weekend.
Family of the Year Recognized
A full weekend of activities has been scheduled. UCM students can give their parents, siblings and other family members the opportunity to gain a firsthand glimpse of campus life and learn more about what the university has to offer. UCM's Family of the Year also will be recognized at the Mules football game and during a special Saturday evening ceremony.
Variety of Events Planned
Families attending can enjoy a variety of events planned by Spotlight. They also can enjoy a breakfast and tour at UCM's Max B. Swisher Skyhaven Airport or a round of golf at the Earl M. Keth Memorial Golf Course at Pertle Springs.
Open Houses, Art, Sports and Nostalgia!
The Honors College and the James C. Kirkpatrick Library will host open houses. Tickets also are available for students and their families to enjoy Mules football and Jennies volleyball action, and seats remain available for the Friday night Performing Arts Series presentation of "Legends of Yesterday: A Tribute to the Everly Brothers, Buddy Holly and the Beatles."
Talent Show Wraps up the Weekend
The highlight of the weekend will be the annual Talent Show Saturday evening in the Hendricks Hall, where the 2006 Family of the Year will be officially honored.
