Gallery of Art and Design Hosts Fall Senior Exhibitions

WARRENSBURG, MO (Oct. 24, 2011) – As they prepare to launch their professional careers, UCM’s senior art and design students will present their senior exhibitions in the UCM Gallery of Art and Design Nov. 9-18 and Nov. 30-Dec. 9.
Interior design, graphic design, and illustration students in the Department of Art and Design scheduled to receive degrees in December will present their work during Senior Exhibition I, planned for Nov. 9-18. Students who have studied studio art and art education will exhibit their work during Senior Exhibition II Dec. Nov. 30-Dec. 9,
Exhibits will feature the best work from their college careers, along with projects developed in collaboration with faculty advisors. Students also will receive valuable feedback from design professionals as they critique student portfolios in conjunction with the exhibit.
The public is invited to meet the students during receptions planned for noon-2 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 12, and Saturday, Dec. 3, in the Art Center Gallery, 217 E. Clark St., on the UCM campus.
The UCM Gallery of Art and Design is open to the public, free of charge, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. weekdays, 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Thursdays, and noon to 4 p.m. Saturdays. Groups are welcome.
