Gospel Concert Offers a Celebration of King's Legacy

WARRENSBURG, MO (Jan. 12, 2009) – Join UCM in celebrating the legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. with the inspiration of gospel music at the 11th annual MLK Gospel Concert, scheduled for 6 p.m. Monday, Jan. 18, in Hendricks Hall.
The concert is presented by UCM’s Office of Community Engagement and the Performing Arts Series as a part of the university’s 2010 Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Celebration. Inspirational gospel music will be presented by UCM’s ABC Gospel Choir, along with praise teams from the Bread of Life Faith Fellowship Church, First Baptist Church of Warrensburg and Shiloh Baptist Church.
Featured soloists will be Damon Brown, Shirley Briscoe and Shawn P. Derritt.
