Campus Offices Close for the Holidays, Will Reopen Jan. 5
Contact: Mike Greife
WARRENSBURG, MO (Dec. 19, 2008) - The UCM campus will be closed for the holidays, allowing faculty, staff and students to enjoy the holiday vacation.
Extended Vacation Results in Energy Savings
University offices will close at 5 p.m. Friday, Dec. 19, 2008, two days earlier than previously scheduled. After consultation with the director of physical plant operations, University President Aaron Podolefsky announced Dec. 12 that the winter break would begin at the close of business Dec. 19, rather than Dec. 23 as was orginally scheduled on the university's master calendar. The change will result in a significant conservation of energy and reduction in energy costs for the university.
Offices Reopen Jan. 5, 2009
University offices will reopen for business at 8 a.m. Monday, Jan. 5, 2009. Residence halls will reopen for students returning to campus at noon Sunday, Jan. 11, 2009, and classes for the Spring 2009 semester will resume at 8 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 13. Additional information about opening spring semester is available in Getting Started.
In Case of Emergency
For emergency contact during the holiday break, contact UCM's Department of Public Safety at 660-543-4123.
