Results Announced for UCM Competitions

WARRENSBURG, MO (Oct. 11, 2011) – Winners of the University of Central Missouri’s 2011 Homecoming parade and spirit competitions were announced following the Saturday, Oct. 8, celebration, “Traditions.”
Taking first place in the Campus Floats category was the Society of Manufacturing Engineers. The Society of Automotive Engineers placed second, the American Design and Drafting Association received third.
In the Campus Walking category, the International Student Organization placed first, and the UCM Players/Theta Alpha Phi placed third.
In the Community Float category, the Missouri Veterans Home placed first. UMB Bank received second, the Warrensburg FFA earned third.
First place in the spirit window competition was a tie between Theta Alpha Phi/UCM Players and Alpha Gamma Delta/Theta Chi. Second place went to Sigma Phi Epsilon/Sigma Sigma Sigma, and tying for third were Lambda Chi Alpha/Alpha Sigma Alpha and Phi Sigma Pi/Tau Kappa Epsilon.
In the marching band competition, Warrensburg Middle School placed first in the Middle School category.
In the 1A category, Leeton High School placed first, Green Ridge High School received second, and Calhoun High School placed third.
In the 2A category, Crest Ridge High School placed first, Windsor High School placed second, and Archie High School placed third.
In the 3A category, Knob Noster High School earned first place, with Lexington High School placing second and Adrian High School placing third.
In 4A competition, Warrensburg High School placed first, Eldon High School earned second, and Clinton High School received third.
