WARRENSBURG, MO (March 23, 2010) – The UCM Office of Campus Activities will host a presentation by entrepreneur and businessman John Hope Bryant as part of its Leadership Development series at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, March 31 in Hendricks Hall. The public is invited to attend.
John Hope Bryant
Bryant, of Los Angeles, is in the business of empowerment. He is the founder, chairman and chief executive officer of Operation HOPE, America's first non-profit social investment banking organization now operating in 68 U.S. communities and South Africa.
He will speak on leadership in a fear-based world and financial literacy, which is the basis of his book, “Love Leadership.” The book examines the need to give back to a world seemingly obsessed with “what’s in it for me?” According to Bryant, love leadership is a way of thinking and acting that acknowledges the need for acknowledgement and success while tapping the often hidden strength inherent in personal insecurities, limitations and failings.
Bryant will be available to autograph copies of the book, which can be purchased at the University Store in the Elliott Union or at the event.
