Department of Theatre Presents "Little Women" Dec. 2-6

WARRENSBURG, MO (Dec. 1, 2009) - Seating remains avaialble for the Department of Theatre's mainstage production of Little Women by Louisa May Alcott as adapted for the stage by Matt Buchanan.
Under the direction of Julie Rae Mollenkamp, associate professor of theatre and graduate coordinator for the Department of Theatre, the production will be presented at 7:30 p.m. Dec. 2-5, with a 2 p.m. matinee performance Sunday, Dec. 6. All performances are in UCM's James L. Highlander Theatre.
This classic tale will bring laughter and tears as a family struggles through a time of war and economic crisis. Four sisters must learn to overcome vanity, shyness and a hot temper to find strength in each other through sacrifice as they strive to better themselves in their world full of turmoil.
Tickets to Little Women are available through the Department of Theatre box office in the lobby of the Highlander Theatre from 9 a.m.-3 p.m., Monday through Friday, or by calling 660-543-8811. Admission is $12 for the general public, $10 for UCM faculty, staff and senior citizens, and $7 for students. All seats are reserved. No children under the age of five will be admitted to the production.
