Gallery of Art and Design Hosts Mid-Missouri Artists Exhibit

WARRENSBURG, MO (July 28, 2010) –The Mid-Missouri Artists celebrate 40 years of art fellowship and advocacy with part two of their annual summer exhibition at the University of Central Missouri's Gallery of Art and Design with an emphasis on photography.
EXHIBITION II: Photography will be open to the public in Gallery 115 through Friday, Aug. 13
Established in 1970, the members of MMA work in a variety of mediums, including watercolor, pastels, printmaking, sculpture, and ceramics. Founded by Joe Adams, Molly Shadwick, and Richard Monson, the Mid-Missouri Artists mission is to nurture artists as well as the community. In its 40th year, the member organization has grown to more than 100 members from 12 counties and three states.
UCM's Gallery of Art and Design is located in the Art Center at 217 E. Clark. The Gallery of Art and Design supports the academic mission of the Department of the Art and Design and the College of Arts, Humanities, and Social Sciences; by offering exhibitions of art and design, multidisciplinary learning experiences, and community focused outreach.
