WARRENSBURG, MO (March 15, 2012) – The Performing Arts Series at the University of Central Missouri presents the PBS children’s favorite in Clifford The Big Red Dog™ - Live! The performance for audiences of all ages is planned for March 25 and 26 in Hendricks Hall in Warrensburg.
It only takes a little to BE BIG!™ In conjunction with the beloved BIG Red Dog’s 50th anniversary in 2012, celebrate the timeless values of Clifford’s BIG Ideas - Share, Play Fair, Have Respect, Work Together, Be Responsible, Be Truthful, Be Kind, Believe In Yourself, Be A Good Friend and Help Others – as Clifford and his friends from Birdwell Island, Emily Elizabeth, Cleo and T-Bone, embark on new adventures.
Emily Elizabeth wants to put on a musical revue with her best friends. Everyone has different ideas, but ultimately the kids decide the story should be about how Clifford grew from a normal-sized pup into such a big dog.
Based on the award-winning, best-selling Scholastic book series by Norman Bridwell, the show is supported by Scholastic's multi-year BE BIG!™ campaign that invites everyone, big and small to take action and raise awareness for how Clifford's Big Ideas can make the world a better place.
With memorable songs, lively choreography and plenty of fun, there’ll be even more of Clifford to love in this all new musical adventure that is sure to delight the entire family.
A public performance is planned for 4 p.m. Sunday, March 25, with a school matinee performance at 10 a.m Monday, March 26, in Hendricks Hall. Tickets are available through the Performing Arts Series box office, Administration 100, by calling 660-543-8888, or online at ucmpas.com.
