Tickets Available for Performance by British Percussion Duo

WARRENSBURG, MO (Sept. 17, 2009) – Rhythm magazine has called them “fantastically dynamic and fun to watch.” Maraca2, the young percussion duo that has made big waves in the music world, comes to UCM Monday, Sept. 21. Presented by UCM’s Performing Arts Series, the performance begins at 7:30 p.m. in Hendricks Hall.
A Kaleidoscope of Sounds
Tim Palmer and Jason Huxtable are at home in any venue, creating an exciting auditory kaleidoscope of marimba and vibraphone patterns with a variety of drum and tonal textures. The duo will perform with jointly the UCM Department of Music’s Percussion Ensemble to present a specially commissioned duo concerto.
Maraca2 also will present a free master class for UCM and area high school students at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 22.
