PAS Brings "Sid The Science Kid-LIVE!" to Hendricks Hall

WARRENSBURG, MO (March 11, 2014) – The University of  Central Missouri’s Performing Art Series brings the popular PBS KIDS® television show, Sid the Science Kid, to Warrensburg as Jim Henson’s Sid the Science Kid—LIVE! comes to the Hendricks Hall stage at UCM  at 7 p.m. Tuesday, March 25, sponsored by KMOS-TV.

Tickets are available and at PAS box office in Administration 100, online at ucmpas.com, by calling 660-543-8888, or at the box office one hour prior to performance.

Sid, the star of the show, is joined by his cohorts May, Gabriela, and Gerald as they discover the excitement and curiosities of the world. The whole family will be cheering and dancing along, as Sid and friends set off on a day of excitement and adventure, asking curious questions and finding cool answers. Even teacher Susie will be there to keep the music flowing, as the characters interact with the audience, figuring out the world together!

Sid The Science Kid—LIVE! is created for the stage by Michael Lewis, veteran Broadway performer and producer of ImaginOcean; John Tartaglia, Tony Award-nominated actor and creator and writer of ImaginOcean; and The Jim Henson Company. The live show is produced by the Mills Entertainment professional theatre company of New York.

The Sid the Science Kid television series is an educational animated show produced by The Jim Henson Company for PBS KIDS®. It uses comedy and music to promote exploration, discovery and science readiness among preschoolers. The program debuted on Sept. 1, 2008, and has since been honored with five Emmy nominations and multiple awards including the most recent CINE Golden Eagle Award.
