UCM Ceremony Remembers Former President Podolefsky

WARRENSBURG, MO (Aug. 14, 2013) – A ceremony in remembrance of the University of Central Missouri’s 14th president, Aaron Podolefsky, is planned for 3:15 to 5 p .m. Thursday, Aug. 22, at the UCM Alumni Memorial Chapel.
Podolefsky, who served UCM from 2005-2010, passed away Aug. 8 after a lengthy illness. He had served as president of Buffalo State for approximately three years prior to his death.
During the memorial ceremony, Ronnie Podolefsky, wife of the former president, will speak briefly, and Don Wallace, professor of criminal justice, will provide biographical information about Podolefsky. Immediately following their remarks, those in attendance, who wish to do so, will have an opportunity to share brief personal stories and remembrances about the former UCM leader.
Light refreshments will be served after the ceremony in the Ward Edwards atrium.
