Central Missouri Repertory theatre celebrates its silver anniversary this summer with the opening of the 2006 season of performances.
Something Offered for Everyone
Tickets now are available for performances of Meredith Willson's all-American musical, "The Music Man," and the timeless comedy "The Odd Couple" by Neil Simon. The schedule also includes a free performance "The Selfish Giant" by Gillette Elvgren, a touring children's play.

"The Music Man" opens Friday, July 7, with performances on July 13, 15, 19 and 21, alternating with "The Odd Couple," which opens July 8 and continues on July 12, 14, 18 and 20. Curtain time for both performances is 7:30 p.m. in the James L. Highlander Theatre.
"The Selfish Giant" for Young Audiences
The touring production of "The Selfish Giant" debuts Thursday, June 22, in Blue Springs Park, Blue Springs, with performances also planned for June 23 at the Clinton New Amphitheatre, Clinton; July 12 at Liberty Center, Sedalia; July 13 at Farris Theatre, Richmond; and July 14 at the Whiteman Air Force Base Community Center. The children's production returns to the Highlander Theatre July 15 for its final performance. All performances are at 10 a.m. and admission is free.
Tickets Available Now
Tickets for "The Music Man" and "The Odd Couple" are available from the box office, located in the lobby of the Highlander Theatre, Monday-Friday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., or by calling 660-543-8811.
Season tickets may be purchased for $18 for the general public, or $14 for UCM faculty and staff and senior citizens and $10 for students. Single performance tickets also are available for $10 for general admission, $8 for UCM faculty and staff and senior citizens, and $6 for students.
Tickets ordered within seven days of the performance will be held at the box office for pick up. The box office opens at 6:45 p.m. on the evening of a performance. No children un the age of five will be admitted to "The Music Man" and "The Odd Couple."
