Studio Repertory Theatre Debuts Feb. 2

WARRENSBURG - 1/31/2007- UCM's Department of Theatre presents the Studio Repertory Theatre series Friday, Feb. 2, and Saturday, Feb. 3 in the Black Box Theatre in Nickerson Hall. Curtain time is 7:30 p.m. for the three one-act plays performed, directed and designed by UCM students.
The Red Balloon
The Red Balloon by Damian Trasler is directed by Sara Bossler with technical direction by Ryan Fortney. A couple interrupts the premiere of a modern theatre piece, claiming it's all rubbish. The performer challenges them to produce something better, and the three begin to work on a piece together.
The cast includes Auriel Starr as the Girl, Adam Henry as the Man, and Maggie Nevins as the Woman.
Water and Wine
Water and Wine by Stewart Spencer is directed by Pamela Long with technical direction by Jermaine Robinson. See the plot thicken as these four unique men explore the three passions that link them together: the passion for art, the passion for wine, and the passion for family.
The ensemble includes Brandon Case as Giovanni, Taylor Gozia as Buonarroti, Harlen Hinkle as Giuliano, and Nicholas Mast as Enrico.
The Valentine Fairy
Teri Turner directs The Valentine Fairy by Ernest Thompson, with technical direction by Destiny Cervi. Ingrid Paloma has just been dumped on Valentine's Day and is fed up with men. Rudyard appears in Ingrid's apartment to try to change her mind about love.
The cast includes Tiana Starke as Ingrid and Joshua Minnis as Rudyard.
Public Invited to Attend Free Performances
The performances in the Studio Repertory series are free and open to the public. No reservations or tickets are required, but arrival 45 minutes prior to curtain time is recommended due space and seating limitations. Children under the age of five will not be admitted to the shows. Please note that content may not be appropriate for all audiences.
