The group will perform in Warrensburg as part of its 2013 national tour. The twenty-voice chorus, accompanied by a three-piece rhythm section, will present a variety of musical styles ranging from patriotic selections to Broadway musical favorites.
The concert is free, but ticketing is required to assure adequate seating. The free, general admission tickets are available by contacting UCM’s Performing Arts Series box office in Administration 100, by calling 660-543-8888, or online at ucmpas.com.
The Sea Chanters chorus is one of five groups featured under the auspices of the United States Navy Band that present free concerts to audiences across the country. In addition to the United States Navy Band and the Sea Chanters, the groups are the Commodores jazz ensemble, the Country Current country-bluegrass group, and the Cruisers, a contemporary music ensemble.
