WARRENSBURG, MO (Oct. 8, 2013) – For the second consecutive year, members of the Warrensburg and University of Central Missouri communities are coming together to celebrate UCM’s annual Homecoming with the fun, family-oriented event, “Tailgate with the City.” Building upon a strong town-gown relationship, “Tailgate with the City” is set for Saturday, Oct. 26, in downtown Warrensburg, immediately following the 2013 Homecoming Parade.
This special outdoor event features food, children’s games, entertainment , vendors and more, and will take place from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the civic center complex at 102 S. Student volunteers from Warrensburg High School will also assist with the event.
All activities are designed to give UCM students, employees and alumni, local families, and community visitors fun options in the downtown area between the conclusion of the parade and the beginning of the Mules Homecoming football game. Attractions include demonstrations/performances by local groups such as Legacy Gymnastics and Twisters, Center Stage, students from UCM’s Department of Theatre and Dance, as well as the Warrensburg High School Drum Line.
