Teacher Placement Day Planned for March 30

WARRENSBURG, MO (March 10, 2011) – The University of Central Missouri Office of Career Services will host the 43rd Annual Teacher Placement Day from 9 a.m.-noon Wednesday, March 30, in the Multipurpose Building Arena.
Candidates interested in a career in education will have an opportunity to speak with administrators from more than 130 school districts regarding career opportunities and position vacancies for the 2011-12 school year. All students, alumni and guests are encouraged to attend. There will be no registration fee for Placement Day attendees. Those attending should wear professional attire and bring multiple copies of their resume.
Immediately following Teacher Placement Day, the Office of Career Services will host Education Interview Day from 1:30-5:00 p.m. March 30 in the Elliott Union. Representatives of school districts will have their interview schedules at their tables during Placement Day. Students need to visit with the districts at the morning event to schedule an interview for the afternoon.
Students are encouraged to check the Career Services web site for a list of school districts who will be participating in Education Interview Day. To take advantage of the on-campus interviews, students must register with the Office of Career Services by attending a College to Career Orientation on Tuesdays and Fridays at 11 a.m. and Wednesday at 1 p.m.
