Theatre Dept. Presents "Recent Tragic Events"
Contact: Mike Greife
WARRENSBURG - 02/05/2007-
Tickets are available for the UCM Department of Theatre mainstage production of Recent Tragic Events by Craig Wright. The contemporary comedy/drama will be presented Feb. 13-17at 7:30 p.m. in the Highlander Theatre.
Examining Life Through Comedy and Drama
The play is set on Sept. 12, 2001, the day after the World Trade Center attack. Andrew has just arrived for a blind-date with Waverly. Their date is interrupted by Waverly's need to contact her twin sister, Wendy, whom she believes may have been in the Twin Towers the previous day.
As their blind-date and relationship develop, Recent Tragic Events challenges the audience to look at chance, choice and freedom in comic, touching and thought-compelling ways.
