The institution became the University of Central Missouri, changed from University of Central Missouri, following a historic vote by the Board of Governors on Sept. 20. Individuals who want to show their campus spirit now have the opportunity to purchase apparel and other items featuring the new university moniker.
Vendors Ready to Meet Demand
"We're excited about the new name, and grateful for all of the vendors in our retailers program who are working hard to provide official UCM apparel and merchandise. We know there is a high demand for these new items," said Dale Carder, associate vice president for university advancement and chair of the Name Change Transition Team.
The licensed campus retailers for these items are the UCM's University Store, located on the lower level of the Elliott Union, and the UCM Online Alumni Store. Other local licensed vendors and members of the UCM Retailers Program include: A+ Awards & Apparel in Knob Noster, and Warrensburg outlets Altered Images Embroidery, Edit Express, Gecco Graphics, Inks & Images, Lady Catherine's, True Value Hardware, Gator Graphics, Pertle Springs Golf Shop and Sports Central. Other local vendors selling UCM apparel include Goody's, Wal-Mart and Walgreens.
