'UCM's Got Talent' Event Benefits UCM Broadcasting

WARRENSBURG, MO (Sept. 7, 2011) –University of Central Missouri President Chuck and Mrs. Kris Ambrose will join UCM Broadcasting Services in hosting “UCM’s Got Talent,” a showcase of student talent and accomplishments planned for Friday, Sept. 16, on the lawn of Selmo Park, the university president’s residence at 518 S. Holden.
The event, planned for 5:30-7:30 p.m., will benefit KMOS-TV and KTBG-FM 90.9 The Bridge, the university’s public broadcasting stations. Admission is a donation of $15 for adults, $25 for couples and $10 for children and students.
UCM students will be the stars of the evening, with those attending invited to stroll the gardens of Selmo Park and indulge in a tasty feast from the heartland prepared by students from Chef Karen Breshears’ culinary arts classes.
UCM students will present a variety of performances, and those attending will have an opportunity to purchase tickets to cast their votes for favorite performer. Art students will display their works, and selected works will be made available for a silent auction, with a portion of the proceeds to go to the students.
