Gallery Exhibits Feature Young Artists
WARRENSBURG -03/16//2007 - Young artists will have an opportunity to showcase their talent and imagination as the UCM Art Center Gallery hosts two student shows through the end of March.
High School Art Show
Art students from 31 area high schools will exhibit their work in the High School Art Show. Works in a vast variety of media will be on display in Gallery 115 and the Art Center hallways, both located in UCM's Art Center at 217 E. Clark, across from the James C. Kirkpatrick Library.
Citation Student Awards Show
UCM majors and minor will exhibit their work in the Art Center's Outer Gallery and the Inner Gallery. The Citation Student Awards Show is a competitive, judged exhibit, with winners will receive UCM scholarship awards.
Reception Planned for Sunday, March 25
Both exhibits will open to the public Monday, March 19, and run through Thursday, March 29. The Art Center Gallery will host a reception for the student artists and their families from 1-4 p.m. Sunday, March 25, in the gallery. Recipients of the Citation Scholarships will be announced at that time.

"This is a great opportunity for area high school student artists to exhibit their work," said Michael Crane, gallery director. "We hope they also will take advantage of the opportunity to meet our students and learn about what our programs have to offer."
