Admission to the athletic training major is a competitive process and not all who apply are admitted. The application process for the major in athletic training is separate from the application process for admission to the university. Both applications must be followed by students interested in the major. Upon completion of this degree program, the student will be eligible to sit for the BOC Certification Examination.
All of the following requirements must be completed by the end of a student's first year: Completed application with appendices, cumulative GPA of 2.75 or higher, and a GPA of 3.0 or higher in all AT classes, official university transcripts, successful completion of interview with Athletic Training Program committee, Professional Rescuer, CPR/AED and First Aid certified, completed physical examination with appropriate immunization record, proof of personal insurance and completed technical standards.
Please refer to the ATP Student Handbook for more specific information on the admissions process.
