Registration Eligibility Requirements
After completing a bachelor's degree and an internship, the future dietitian is ready to become certified. This is done through the registration exam. The requirements are established by the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR).
About the Exam
The examination is computer based and can be taken after the CDR receives the eligibility application from the internship program and the candidate receives the Authorization to Test letter from the CDR. The candidates will receive an exam application packet from ACT within seven to ten days following CDR notification of registration eligibility. Processing the exam application takes two to four weeks. The application fee is $200.
For more information about the exam visit the Commission on Dietetic Registration's Website.
