Alice M. Gower Re-Entry AwardScholarship recipient

  • A non-traditional student who has a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.75 in 90 credit hours.
  • A non-traditional single parent, married, and/or at least 24 years of age.
  • November 1st is the deadline to apply

Helen Gilbert Leadership Award

  • Student with a minimum of two semesters remaining to graduate
  • Possess a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.7 or better
  • Display leadership and involvement in campus/community organizations
  • Award value is approximately $500 for one semester (Awarded in the Spring)
  • March 1st is the deadline to apply

Armstrong Family Scholorship

  • The Armstrong Family Scholarship has been established with the UCM Foundation for a non-traditional student over 25 years of age that is also a single parent. This annual scholarship has been established with a gift received from Ruth Rowland of Kansas City, MO, in an effort to assist students struggling with the financial burden of earning a college degree. The UCM Scholarships and Awards Officer has been named the primary fund manager of this  scholarship account. The recipient shall be selected by the University Scholarship Selection Committee.
  • The application deadline is November 1.

FAFSA

Free Application Form for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA)

  • Pell grants, Supplemental Educational Opportunity, subsidized & unsubsidized loans.
  • February is the best month to apply for federal financial aid.
  • Application available at the Office of Student Financial Assistance, Ward Edwards 1100, and complete & submit the FAFSA on the Internet at www.fafsa.ed.gov

University Women of Central Scholarship Award

  • A non-traditional student who is at least 24 years of age
  • Preference is given to a single parent who is enrolled in at least 6 credit hours
