SPIN (Sponsored Programs Information Network) is a searchable funding opportunity database designed to provide up-to-date information on current national and international government and private funding sources.
GENIUS (Global Expertise Network for Industry, University, and Scholars) is a global web network and searchable database of scientific and scholarly expertise. GENIUS profiles are required at UCM if you will be submitting a sponsored project proposal to an external funder.
SMARTS (SPIN Matching And Research Transmittal Service) is an electronic matching and funding opportunity notification system. SMARTS takes the information you have populated into your GENIUS profile, matches it with SPIN data and emails you those matches.
Proposal Development provides investigators with an online portal that can be accessed from anywhere in the world for preparing, submitting and tracking their grant applications. The software streamlines the administrative effort involved in preparing proposals and offers useful functionality for managing grants. The system will route a proposal for review electronically, provide a budget tool, and offer a central location for collaboration on a proposal.
Proposal Tracking provides comprehensive support for managing grants and contracts from pre-award to post award. The Web-based software makes information available to anywhere in the world and allows Office of Sponsored Programs to migrate to an efficient electronic system. The system also allows for upload of reports and deliverables as well as an electronic document repository, to reduce paper usage.
