Administrative Systems Advisory Committee

I. Charge

The Administrative Systems Advisory Committee shall advise the Information Technology Policy Council regarding the collection, maintenance, and utilization of administrative information along with related systems, procedures, and policies.

II. Function

In carrying out its charge, the Administrative Systems Advisory Committee will:

A. On a regular basis, review and evaluate the implementation of the ERP system, its functionality and possible enhancement.

B. Review needs for additional administrative systems within or outside the current ERP systems.

C. Review and recommend appropriate information and systems related policies.

D. Review and provide input during the development of the Information Services short and long-term goals in strategic planning and budgeting for information technology.

 E. The Committee will recommend policies and procedures relating to a professional, user-friendly, up-to-date, and continually improving web presence as related to administrative systems. The committee will evaluate Central's web presence often, and recommend revisions to form and content as needed.

III. Membership

A. Permanent members: 

  • Assistant Provost for Enrollment Mgt & Marketing
  • Assistant Provost for Information Technology and Instruction
  • Associate Vice President for Finance/Controller
  • Assistant Vice President, Student Affairs
  • Associate Vice President, University Advancement
  • Director, Institutional Research and Reporting
  • Assistant Director, Management Information Systems

B. Rotating members:   

  • Dean selected by the Council of Deans (selected for a two-year term, may serve multiple terms)
  • Chair-elect of the Academic Council (one-year term while Chair-elect)
  • Chair of the Academic Council (one-year term while Chair of the Academic Council)
  • SGA appointed student (one-year term appointed by SGA,  may serve multiple terms)

C. A quorum for any meeting will consist of a simple majority of voting members.  All members will have the opportunity to vote.

IV. Chair

The Administrative Systems Advisory Committee shall select its chair from the committee membership by a majority vote. The chair shall serve a one-year term and shall be eligible for re-election (but may serve no more than two consecutive terms).  The chair shall convene all meetings, fix the agenda, cast a vote on all motions, and arrange the taking and report of minutes.  No less than one committee meeting shall be convened each calendar quarter.

V. Meeting Times

Meeting times will be established by the committee to accommodate the schedules, including class schedules, of as many members as possible.
