ITPC Advisory Committees
Advisory Committees serve at the request of the ITPC, and provide information and recommendations regarding pertinent information technology issues. Advisory Committees are expected to consider issues from three origins: 1) issues that the committee decides to discuss and report; 2) issues that the committee receives from individuals or groups outside the committee membership; and 3) specific issues that the ITPC refers to the advisory committee. Recommendations made by advisory committees and approved by the ITPC (and the University President when necessary) are implemented through established administrative channels.
Each advisory committee regularly reports discussion items and recommendations to the ITPC. Advisory committees are expected to report all issues that come before them and their recommendations for action. When requested by the ITPC, advisory committees provide background and facts supporting any conclusions and/or recommendations.
