Faculty Support and Development

Center for Teaching & Learning

The Center for Teaching & Learning  provides faculty and staff development opportunities throughout the academic year in its Thursday Afternoons at Central program and through additional programs on an arranged basis. Faculty and staff share their expertise in technological solutions for academic problems with colleagues on a continuing basis. A database of faculty and staff with the knowledge and capacity to offer training opportunities is maintained by the Center for Academic Technology.

Faculty Professional Enhancement

The Faculty Senate Professional Enhancement Committee is charged to promote professional growth of the faculty at Central. This committee shares responsibility with the Academic Professional Development Office and the Office of Sponsored Research and Projects. For a listing of the various services and funding opportunities for faculty/academic staff, see pages III-43 through III-58 of the Faculty Guide.

Sponsored Programs

Sponsored Programs (OSP) is an academic service support unit dedicated to serving Central Missouri's faculty, professional staff, and students. OSP establishes, administers, and coordinates programs that guide UCM in its research and scholarly endeavors.  Sponsored Programs administers all external grant submissions and awards as well as the operations of the University Research Council and Human Subjects Committee.
